Two original Australian gelatin silver print photographs dating to the late 1890s, both taken on the goldfields of Western Australia. The first is inscribed on the back Mulga scrub, W. Dimensions: 105 x 155 mm, unmounted.Very sharp image in good condition. Tiny nicks at two corners. The second shows a European man mounted on a camel, with rifle and stock whip clearly visible.
The back is inscribed simply with the photographer's sequence number'29', but this photo came together with the prospectors shot (and the handwriting is obviously the same on both). Dimensions: 90 x 130 mm. Small loss at bottom corner, a couple of stains, otherwise a very detailed image.
No photographer indicated on either photo. Rare ORIGINAL photographs of the Western Australian goldfields. Coolgardie kalgoorlie boulder geraldton cue perth fremantle.
