20.6 gram fusion crusted full slice of the Gascoyne Junction, Australia meteorite. The total amount of this meteorite recovered was only 10kg, and most of that is locked away in institutional collections. This meteorite has only been available once or twice over the past decade, and that is usually just a very small piece. This is a very cool H5 Chondrite with excellent metal flake. The fusion crust is stained red by the Australian soil. This slice was left unpolished in order to preserve material, and better showcase the chondrules and mottled matrix.
