Vintage Signed BLUEY ROBERTS Hand-painted Wood Bommerang Framed. ARTIST BLUEY ROBERTS Bluey Roberts was born in 1948 and belongs to the Aboriginal Ngarrindjeri tribe from the Lower Murray region of South Australia. Roberts' works are widely exhibited within Australia and overseas and are held in collections of the National Gallery of Australia, Flinders University Art Museum in Adelaide, South Australian Museum and Queensland Art Gallery. Bluey Roberts is undoubtedly the most prolific of the Ngarrindjeri artists and is well known for his carved emu eggs as well as hand-decorated boomerangs and weapons. His works are known to command prices well into the thousands.
