A wall mask by the Ellis pottery, shape 34, modelled as a tribal African. Ellis produced several masks, all are extremely rare. Incised signature on the reverse along with the shape number.
In very good vintage condition, no crazing, a small superficial chip on the reverse at the bottom; the nasal cavities have been closed off. Size: 27 cm high, 12 cm across, 5 cm deep, weight 400g. More Australian pottery which I have for sale.
Please view all the photos before purchasing, they complete the description. While I do my best to reproduce the true colours of the pieces, they will vary slightly from system to system, and in actual viewing they will vary under differing lighting.
All white spots are purely light reflections from the camera flash. The item will first be wrapped bubble before packing securely in a solid box with lots of peanuts - earthquake proof. Just occasionally this could extend to 2-3 days, however.
